What is a Mini-Course?

A mini-course is a set of videos on a baseball player development topic. Driveline Plus contains 32 mini-courses available for coaches to learn. These mini-courses are more specific in scope, with each targeted towards a different aspect of baseball player development. These mini-courses also include short quizzes so coaches can test their knowledge of the material.

In comparison to our mini-courses, our certifications focus more on how different pieces of player development interact with one another. They are longer and have more intensive quizzes.

These are the mini-courses that are now available for individual purchase:

Basics of Bat Sensors

Basics of Bat Sensors is a 12 lesson mini-course covering the ins and outs of how we maximize bat sensors.

In this course you will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of metrics taken from Blast, using data from our high school, college and professional hitters
  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of different metrics and what they tell you about how a hitter moves
  • Learn how plate location and depth of contact matter and how to apply what you learn in practice
