After a disappointing 2020, Neris came to Driveline looking to improve.

In 2021, his average FB velocity increased from 93.8 MPH in ‘20 to 94.1 MPH in ‘21. Neris strikeout rate increased by 5%, his walk rate dropped by almost 2.5%, and he allowed the lowest exit velocity of his career. From July 7, 2021 through the end of the season, Neris had a 2.53 ERA – striking out 59 in 42.2 IP.

After training with Driveline and signing out of our Pro Day, Matzek eventually completed his journey back into professional baseball in 2020.

He posted a 2.79 ERA that season while striking out 43 hitters in just 29 IP. In 2021, he further solidified his comeback as a dominant reliever touching 100 MPH and helping his team capture a World Series title.

In 2020 Alex jumped into remote training with Driveline and begin working on cleaning up his lower half. He saw an increase in velocity, topping 97 during his time at the alt site in 2020.

Come 2021 and following a full off-season working with us, Alex made his MLB debut in early April, sitting 96.4mph and having success with his new-found confidence in his SL. He finished the year with a 1.98 ERA and 14K’s over 13.2IP in the final month of the season.

Tate started training with Driveline following the 2019 season and has since seen his average velocity climb each year, topping nearly 100 MPH in 2021. He led the team in appearances and innings pitched out of the bullpen in his first full season in the big leagues.

Thanks to some dedicated pitch design and command work during the 2020 off-season, his slider stuff+ jumped from 99 to 112 in 2021 and reduced the median miss distance on his changeup by more than 2 inches.
