How Does Driveline Work?

The foundation of all of Driveline programs is: Assess – Train – Retest.
All of our work begins with an assessment (the best place to get this is in one of our 3 gym locations).

Assess

You will have your skills and athleticism tested and compared against your peers and athletes at your next level (or MLB averages). This helps us develop a clear picture of who you are as an athlete right now. We take this data and meet with you to learn more about your goals. What do you want to accomplish — in your career, or in the next 3-6 months? These short- and long-term plans are taking into account when building your training plan.

Your training plan covers:

  1. Your drill work
  2. Your lifting plan
  3. Technology to monitor your progress
  4. A knowledgeable coach who can help you hit your goals

But it won’t work for you unless you put in the work….

Train

Each week you’ll have a focused set of drills and a lifting program.

All the good stuff happens on the field — we want you prepared, with the right amount of work. Your training plan maps to your goals. We program drill work and strength/mobility work.

Our training app monitors your speeds, workloads and lifting plan. Your coach can see what, if any, work you did that day — and we can tailor our conversations around what is going well and what isn’t.

This works if you’re at one of our gyms — or back at-home or on-campus.

Retest

Every 6 weeks, we check your progress. Did that training block achieve what we wanted? What is working? What isn’t?

Progress isn’t linear and not everything works for all athletes. When you retest, you’ll be able to see more tangibly the gains you’ve made and create a new plan for the next month of training.

It’s also a good opportunity to ensure your training schedule still makes sense with your team work or other activities — or to plan around an upcoming break.
