Hey everyone: Sorry that updates have been non-existent for the past month or so, but life gets in the way of work sometimes (or in this case, more work gets in the way of work I’d rather be doing) and things fall by the wayside. Fortunately, many things have smoothed themselves out, and I’m currently in Paris, France on holiday vacation until the new year!
There are a lot of exciting opportunities / projects I’ve been involved with over the past 3 months, and I’m excited to share them with you all as they come to maturity.
As a last parting gift, someone who I’ve been wanting to get in touch with and understand more has published a fairly comprehensive website that talks about his research/application of pitching mechanics: Fritz Outman. You can find his website at Outman Methodologies. Fritz is the father of Josh Outman, current starting pitcher for the Oakland A’s who is on the disabled list with elbow and shoulder issues – and Zach Outman, a minor league pitcher in the Toronto Blue Jays’ system.
Fritz has developed a unique pitching mechanic that got some fame after Josh was drafted by the Phillies and forced to convert to a more traditional delivery. I highly suggest you check out his interesting (if controversial) website. I haven’t yet had time to read it in its entirety, but it’s very exciting nonetheless.
I hope you’ve all had a great holiday season and have some awesome New Years’ plans – I’ll be at the Eiffel Tower ringing in the New Year with family!
